Round Cast Iron Grates

Important!

• The grates must always be installed so that the widening gap faces the ash pan. Otherwise, the grate becomes clogged.
• The grates should always be selected slightly smaller. When heated, they expand due to thermal expansion. A clearance of 5 mm is sufficient for smaller grates, while larger grates may require up to 7 mm.
• The grates are not intended for equipment using coke as fuel. Briquettes with an oily binder are also at the limit of suitability.
• The grates are also not intended as a replacement for original grates in modern gasification boilers, where high temperatures are used even when burning wood and specially designed grates are required.
